BOUDREAU-BOURGEOIS, LÉONIE - Léonie Boudreau-Bourgeois, 75, of Memramcook East and formerly of Haute Aboujagane passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 5, 2011following a brief illness. Born February 24, 1936 in Saint André, she was the daughter of the late Damien and Elise (Richard) Melanson. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Clovis Bourgeois, four daughters: Laurida Boudreau and Gisèle Fougère (Bobby) of Grand Barachois, Sylvia Boudreau and Doris Gaudet (Arthur) of Haute Aboujagane; two sons: Ronald (Géralda) of Cap Pelé and Alonzo (Janice) of Haute Aboujagane; seven grandchildren: Sylvio, Christian, Mario, Jason, Cindy, Annik and Véronique; five great grandchildren: Justice, Joannie, Coralie, Liam and Lexie. She will also be missed by her four step children: Anne Durepos (Maurice) and Donald Bourgeois (Carole) of Memramcook, Murielle Bourgeois (Réjean Vautour) of Haute Aboujagane and Rosella Landry (Denis) of Moncton; four step grandchildren: Patrick, Stéphanie, Jérémie and Chantal; several brothers and sisters: Lina Arsenault, Edmé Goguen and Roméo Melanson (Cécilia) all of St-André-LeBlanc, Alfred Melanson (Catherine) of Lower Sackville, Yvonne (Alban) Duguay and Florida Duguay (Yvon) both of Cap Pelé and by many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her 1st husband Laurie Boudreau (1996) and four brothers: Albert, Donat, Georges and Arthur Melanson.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours on Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 9 a.m. until time of departure at 10:15 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic church in Haute Aboujagane on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
