LeBLANC, ARTHUR Sr. - The death of Arthur Joseph Sr. LeBlanc “Blackie”, of Saint John West, husband of the late Theresa (Monteith) LeBlanc occurred unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at his residence. Born July 1, 1927 in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Alyer and Matilda (Bourgeois) LeBlanc. He is survived by his sons Arthur Jr. (Mary) of Bloomfield, Paul (Dawn) and Roger of Saint John; daughter-in-law Donna LeBlanc (Frank) of Saint John; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Paul (Leatrice) of Moncton; sisters Stella Delahunt of Moncton and Jeanette Jarret of Montreal, several nieces and nephews. Arthur worked many years in the Burner Service Industry with Parker D. Mitchell, Le Roy’s, Irving, and was the owner and operator of A & J Burner Service. He was an avid bowler, past member Knight’s of Columbus, and a member of the Senior Citizens, in the City Market. Besides his parents and wife Theresa, he was predeceased by his brothers Ronald, Edgar and Laurie and Roger LeBlanc and a sister Doris LeBlanc.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. (646-2424) with visiting on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
