The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011 of Jack Gallant, 266 Sydney St., Charlottetown, in his 71st year.
Jack was born Feb. 19, 1940. He was predeceased by his parents Vincent and Rosella (McCarron), brother-in-law Reg "Bill" Bellefleur and sister-in -law Anita (Murray) Gallant.
Survived by brothers Linus (Sue Power), Frank (Rosita), George of Charlottetown and Wayne, Hamilton, Ont.; sisters Mary Bellefleur, Tracadie, Patricia and Debi, Charlottetown; special cousin Colleen Power Gass and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends and acquaintances at Hillsboro Funeral Home on Saturday, July 9, 2011, from 9 a.m. until time of memorial service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
