November 13th, 1939 - July 4th, 2011

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mario Comazzetto: Husband, Father, Nonno (Grandfather), Bisnonno (Great Grandfather), Brother and Friend after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Mario passed away peacefully with his family by his side.

Born and raised in Kamloops, Mario was the youngest of nine children whom was predeceased by his parents: Antonio and Cesira, brother Alder, and many in-laws.

Mario will be dearly missed by his wife, Helen, of fifty-one years; his three children: Debbie (Terry), Donna (Victor) and Anthony (Melanie); fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Kimberly (Jarrett), Adam, Elise (Jeff), Megan and Thomas; great grandchildren: Tyson and Gwyneth; siblings: Gino (Vera), Bob, Reno (Stella), Lena, Elsie, Enes (Henry), Emma and many Nieces and Nephews.

Mario worked in sales for the dairy industry for over thirty years. In his younger years he was an avid stock car racer as well as an enthusiast in snowmobiling, boating, fishing, and scuba diving. In their later years Mario and Helen enjoyed their home at the Shuswap with many friends and family.

The family would like to thank all the staff at the Royal Inland Hospital for all their support and care. Any donations, in lieu of flowers, would be appreciated to the Kamloops Cancer Society.

Prayers will be recited on Friday, July 8th, 2011 at 6:00pm and the funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 9th, 2011 at 11:00am at The Sacred Heart Cathedral.
