Monique Barton
The death of Monique Barton of Sackville occurred suddenly at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009.
Born in Sackville, she was the daughter of Desmond and Jeanine (Boudreau) Lorette and loving wife of John Barton.
Monique loved her grandchildren and all children in general.
She enjoyed being at the beach, doing crafts and spending time in her flower beds and gardens.
Having beaten cancer five years ago, she had been involved with the Canadian Cancer Society for six years.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 20 years, John; her mother Jeanine; one son, David (Lisa) Estabrooks of Sackville; a stepson, Johnnie Barton of Riverview; sister, Betty-Ann (Mike) Gallant of Shediac; brother, Dennis (Patty) Lorette of Aulac; grandsons, Charles, Blair and Riley; granddaughters, Alyshea, Brianne, Abby and Paige.
Monique was predeceased by her father, Desmond.
Monique’s remains have been entrusted into the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300), from where visitation was held Thursday evening.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. from Saint Vincent’s Roman Catholic Church, Father Allison Carroll officiating on Friday, September 11, 2009.
A private family interment will be at the Saint Joseph Parish Cemetery, Shediac at a later date.
Donations in Monique’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
