ADOLPH LAWRENCE GROSS
Adolph passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the age of 84 years. He was born August 22, 1925 in Bayard, Saskatchewan where he farmed most of his life. He married Hedwig Beitel in 1953. They moved to Moose Jaw in 1979 and enjoyed going to the farm every season to help his sons. He took great pride in raising cattle and loved his horses. He was a councilor for R.M. 100 for 30 years. He loved music and enjoyed playing his banjo and played in a band from the time he was fourteen years old. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Hedwig, two sons Barry (Karen) and Blaine (Sherri); grandchildren: Kyle – Calgary, Brandon – Avonlea and Levi – Briercrest and great-grandson, Teagan – Calgary, sisters: Annie, Victoria and Elsie. Predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and John, brothers, Eddy and Rudolph, sisters, Matilda and Eva. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave. N.W., Moose Jaw on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Reverend Father Carlos Jimenez will be the celebrant. The Prayer Service will be held Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E. Moose Jaw.
