It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Louis Desire Jules Moulins, 82, of Westmount, who passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Louis was a member of Holy Rosary parish, Westmount. He was employed with Sydney Steel and several construction companies in the local area until his retirement. Louis was also employed with the RCR as a paratrooper. He volunteered with the Westmount Fire Department and was a very dedicated volunteer with the Cancer Relay. Louis was a member of the ATV Club, Search & Rescue, Ski-doo Club and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 126, Westmount. Lou was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed ski-dooing, fishing, hunting and his passion was riding his ATV through the Highlands with his friends.
Louis will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Annie (Ranson); daughter, Lola (Ron) MacEachern, Marion Bridge; sons, John (Maureen), Dartmouth and Michael, at home; four grandchildren, Trina and Tannis MacEachern and Chris and Brent Moulins and four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Daniel, Brock and Chloé. He is also survived by brothers, Peter (Adaline), Westmount and Leo (Jessy), Mira; sister-in-law, Evie Moulins, Westmount; special close friends, Richard (Cheryl) Joseph, Sydney.
Besides his parents, Louis was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Johnny and Paulie and sisters, Mary Graham, Edwardine Thompson, Francis Caswell and Annie Youden.
In honouring Louis wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel. During 4 p.m. Mass at Holy Rosary Church, Westmount, Today, July 9th, a remembrance of Louis will be held. Interment will take place in Holy Rosary Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the ATV Club or Mass for Shut-Ins.
