FOST, Hedley Gordon – September 21, 1921 - July 7, 2011. Member of 166th Regiment. WWII Veteran. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital in the presence of his loving family on Thursday, July 7, 2011, Hedley Fost of Heart’s Delight, aged 89 years. Predeceased by his wife , Sadie (2003), grandson , Daniel (2005), parents Charles and Elizabeth, brothers James, Frederick, Arthur and sister Mildred. Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life with thanksgiving are his children: Sylvia (John) White, Marilyn (Leonard) Edison, Barbara ( Howard) Roberts, Carol (Harold) Cranford), Peggy (Ken) Kulp, Dennis (Daisy), Debbie (Dave) Porter, Brenda (Linsey) Harnum, Linda (Gordon) Pollett, Heather (Kenneth) Jackson, Wanda (Lee) O’ Keefe, Rosalind (Derrick) Snow and Lorne (Lori); precious grandchildren: Christopher, Allison, Kevin, Jennifer, Krista, Joanne, Jason, Jody, Garrett, Julianne, Christina, Jillian, Samantha, Jonathan, Daniel, Chad, Mitchell, Shane and Jordan and great-grandchildren: Devon, Emily, Jesse, Carter and Hannah. He is also lovingly remembered by sisters: Florence (Joe) Hopkins, Hilda Mayo and special friend, John Parsons, as well as a number of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. Resting at the SUF Lodge Heart’s Delight on Saturday, July 9, 2:00 pm until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11th at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to St. Matthew’s Church Fund.
