Passed peacefully away at the Glenbrook Lodge, After a courageous battle with cancer, on July 9th, 2011, Fannie Gertrude Nurse-Burke. Age 77 years. Predeceased by her parents George and Selina Newell, husbands Cyril Nurse (1994) and William Burke (1969), brother George, son Carl, grandsons Stephen and Matthew. Left with fond and loving memories are 2 sisters, 3 brothers, 11 children, 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service in her honour will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday July 13th, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Pouch Cove.
