
Guy Coburn
COBURN, GUY LEROY - Guy L. Coburn, formerly of Harvey Station, NB passed away July 11, 2011 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in 1917 at Harvey Station, NB, he was a son of the late Roy and Lila (Little) Coburn. Guy was a World War II Veteran, having served in Belgium. He and his wife made their home in Peterborough, Ontario for most of their life, but spent four months of each year at their cottage on Harvey Lake with their family. He is survived by his wife, Violet (Rolston) Coburn; two sons, Edwin Coburn (Jackie), Peterborough, ON and Wayne Myshrall (Maureen), Fredericton, NB; two daughters, Barbara Heffernan (Merv), Codrington, ON and Karen Coburn, Peterborough, ON; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Althea Jones and Margaret Wood, both of Harvey; two sisters-in-law, Berneice Coburn, Harvey, NB and Lois Moore, Ontario; a brother-in-law, Raym Mersereau (Shirley), Harvey, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Guy was predeceased by brothers James Coburn and Arnold Coburn; a sister, Shirley Mersereau; brothers-in-law, Wilbur Jones and George Wood.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 3 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church, Harvey, NB with Rev. Kay Clowater officiating. Interment in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
