ALWARD, DONALD - Donald Rommell Alward, 83, of Havelock, passed away peacefully at the Jordan Life Care Centre on July 13, 2011. Born in Canaan, he was the son of the late William and Jennie (nee Fowler) Alward. He is survived by his children: Linda McConnell (Scott) of Halifax, Susan Chambers, Debbie Alward, Cathy MacPherson (Brent), Donnie Alward (Cathy) all of Salisbury, Gerry Alward (Carol) and Terry Alward (Ruth) both of Petitcodiac; his sisters: Marguerite Corey (Warren) of Havelock and Alta Burgess (Tom) of Havelock; his brothers: Harold Alward (Peg) of Fawcett Hill, and Bill Alward (Jean) of Parkindale; as well as by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Don was predeceased by his loving wife, Eva Alward (nee Hopey); and his brothers; Ewart Alward and Lester Alward.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7 to 9pm; the funeral service will be held on Friday, July 15 at 11:00am with Rev. Jacob Ebbett presiding, all in Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac (506-756-3361). Interment will be held in the Green Hill Cemetery.
