It is with great sadness that the family of the late Keith Porter announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Friday, September 18, 2009 in his 60th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Shirley of 37 years, daughters Jennifer Porter of Calgary, Kyla Gill (Mark) of St. John’s, grandchildren Peter and Matthew of St. John’s, brothers Glynn (Carol) of Deer Lake, Earl (Paula) of Corner Brook, sisters; Ruth (John Dyke) of Gander, Judy (Rick Drover) of Hants Port, Nova Scotia, and the family pet Maggie. He was predeceased by his parents Burt and Verena Porter. Thank you to Alison O’Brien and the ICU staff for their special care and support. Thank you Dr. DuToit for the medical care and the time taken to support the family. Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. at First United Church, Park Street with Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation, Children’s Wish Fund and the Janeway would be greatly appreciated.
