Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, September 17, 2009, Clarence S. Pomeroy of Brigus, aged 82 years. Predeceased by his sisters: June Walker and Ruth Vinicombe. Left to mourn wife, Laura; four children: Christine (Derrick Burry), Craig (Maxine), Heather (Ron Camp), Ron (Jackie); nine grandchildren: Lorelei (Kenneth) Fillier, Brad (Alison) Burry, Lindsay Burry (Aaron), Melanie, Melissa, Michael, Brett Camp (Cassandra), Alexandria and Andrew; four great-grandchildren: Mason and Matthew Fillier, Brianna and Mikayla Pomeroy; sister, Wilma Tiller; special great-nephew, Donnie Quenneville; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus, with visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 2-4 p.m. and 7-10 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral to take place on Monday, September 21, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. from the Brigus United Church with interment to follow in the U.C.
