It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Morgan age 66 of Dominion. Carl passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay Carl was the son of the late Foster Jackson and Mildred ‘Milley’ (MacIntosh) Morgan.
Carl was coal miner retiring after 32 years of service. He was a family man and will be missed by all. He enjoyed many walks with his dog, Prince.
Carl will be sadly missed by his wife, Mabel G. (Lyon) Morgan; daughter, Debra; sons, Daniel, Brashill, Dougie, Terry; brothers, Jim, Frank, Joe, Bob; sisters, Donna, Yvonne; 23 cherished grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Besides is parents, Carl was predeceased by children, Lisa, Raydene, Joey and Margie.
Visitation for Carl will be held Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Monday at Knox United Church, Glace Bay with Rev. Dr. John Finlayson officiating. Carl will be transferred to the church at noon. Interment will be at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney.
