It is with great sadness that the family of the late John B. LaCosta announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the age of 68 years. He will be sadly missed by his three sons: Michael LaCosta (Colleen Ballard) of Port au Port East, Donald (Heather) LaCosta of Gander, Stephen (Carol) LaCosta of Torbay, two daughters: Sandra (Kevin) Cluett of Amherst, Nova Scotia, Victoria LaCosta (Ken Williams) of Fort McMurray, two brothers: Alphonsus (Mary) of Campbell’s Creek, Mercier (Josephine) of Corner Brook, two sisters: Isabel (John) Vogel of Nebraska, Mercedes LaCosta of Calgary and 11 grandchildren: Sheldon, Mark, Samantha, Todd, Chelsea, Reilly, Brooke, Aaron, Cassidy, Cole, Heidi, one great-grandchild, Luke and friend, Anna as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Emma (Kendall) LaCosta, his brothers, James, Bernard, Stan, Rory and his sisters, Annie, Margie, Mena, Theresa, Kathleen. Friends may call at the Maria Regina Parish in Port au Port East on Sunday, July 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, July 18th at 10 am at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East with Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
