It is with great sadness that the family of the late Victor Cormier announce his passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Thursday September 17, 2009 at the age of 71 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Sylvia, two sons, Alfred and Irving both in Cape St. George, two daughters Josephine Cormier in Cambridge, Ontario, Sandra Cormier (Brian Walsh) in Burlington, Ontario. Four brothers Jack (Mary) in Stephenville, Gerard (Linda), Bob (Gladys), Mark (Bernice) all in Degrau. Eight sisters, Bernadette Benoit, Bridget Benoit, Audrey (Roderick) Rubia, Sharon (Jackie) Hefferan, all in Stephenville. Dorothy (Leonard) Briand, Nora (Cyril) DuBourdieu, all in Kippens. Judy (Mike) Woods in Cape St. George and Blanche (Marty) Fisher in London, Ontario. Also leaving to mourn his four grandchildren Stephanie, Sydnee, Douglas and Jeremy. Three great grandchildren D.J, Dallas, and Donna, and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Mary, his daughter Donna, granddaughter Dawn, and sister Margaret. Visitation took place at Our Lady of the Cape parish in Cape St. George. Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of The Cape Parish with interment in The Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marches Point. As expressions of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville.
