NICKERSON, Mae Marie – 88, Wedgeport, formerly of Amirault’s Hill, passed away July 8, 2011 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 18, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Celanie Amirault. She worked for Bonda Textile for many years. She is survived by her children, Gerald (Joan) Amirault, Saint John, N.B.; and Edna LeBlanc, Wedgeport; stepchildren, Bruce, Willis, Laura, Sharon, and Sandra; sister, Sylvia Cullen, Hammonds Plains; grandchildren, Joanne Deveau, Darlene Hamilton, Giselle Jackman, Janice LeBlanc, and Guy LeBlanc; 15 stepgrandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; 11 stepgreat- grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Willis Nickerson; son, Jimmy Amirault; stepson, Gary Nickerson; sister, Domitile Amirault in infancy; brothers, Alphonse, Leonard, Clifford, Terrance, and Clarence Amirault. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. Visitation was held Sunday, July 10 from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home with prayers at 8:30 p.m. A funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel on Monday July, 11 at 11 a.m. with Father John MacPherson officiating. Interment was in the Chegoggin Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Mae’s memory may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses or a charity of one's choice.
