Faye Irene Bos
BOS - Faye Irene, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years, at the Prairie Health Centre in Cabri on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Faye was the oldest of 3 siblings born to Ed and Della Brecknell. She was born on October 1, 1920 near Drake, SK. She is survived by her children; Carolyn (Marv), Della (Gary), Ralph (Lucy), Mark (Angie), Rick (Dianne); stepchildren (Lynn), Johanna (Duke), Mick (Darlene), Marcia (Ed); brother Dale, and sister Eva (Cliff), 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her parents Ed and Della, husband William (Bill), stepson William Jr. (Billy) and sister-in-law Melba. Faye was raised in the Pelly, SK area and then moved to the Cabri area, where she married then had her life as a nursing assistant first and a homemaker for the last 70 years. She loved to garden and took pride in her flowers and vegetables. She was a great cook and her baking was shared with everyone. Her greatest love and passion was family and being together. She also enjoyed travelling to many places with friends and family. She was active in the Lutheran Church and the Curling Club. She will be greatly missed. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, September 5, 2009 from the Cabri Community Hall, Cabri, SK with Pastor Greg Kiel officiating. The pianist was Heather Arnelien. Ushers were Dean Scott and Erwin Telke. Pallbearers were Brent Friesen, Blair Friesen, Colin Bos, Clayton Bos, Shawn Schwengler and Craig Schwengler. Interment service followed at the Shackleton Cemetery.
