Hiram Keeping
January 31, 1947 – July 13, 2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hiram Keeping announces his passing at the age of 64 on Wednesday, July 13 at the Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Hiram was the son of the late Percy and Lily Keeping. Hiram was also predeceased by brothers Donald and Lorne, brothers-in-law James Francis and Reg Dominie. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Shirley of 41 years, daughter Judy (Maurice Best), son Robin, granddaughters Danica, Gabrielle, Victoria and Olivia all of Almonte ON, brother Victor (Sharron) Victoria, nieces and nephews Charles, Melanie, Tammy, Melissa, Mitchell and their families, sisters-in-law Ruby Webber Winnipeg MB, Judy (Ervin) Francis Harbour Le Cou, Maude Francis Port aux Basques and Bessie Dominie Rose Blanche, brothers-in-law Gus (Mable) Dominie Strathmore AB, Cecil (Ann) Dominey Kingston ON, Winston (Mable) Dominie Wilmot NS, Walter (Barbara) Dominie Deer Lake, Gerald (Trudi) Dominie Salmon Cove and a number of nephews, nieces, aunts, cousins and many friends. Visitation took place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from St. George’s Anglican Church in Burnt Islands. Funeral service took place on Sunday July 17, 3:30 PM at St George’s Anglican Church Burnt Islands officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter.
