Gamble, Florence Beatrice – 84, Debert, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Wentworth, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Lettie Hughes of Londonderry. She is survived by sons, Aubrey (Christine), Lower Onslow, Michael (Kimberly), Peace River, Alta.; daughters, Carol (William) Pictou, Thelma (Murray) Alexander, both of Debert; sisters, Elizabeth Hiltz, Chester Basin, Muriel Hughes and Bernice Hughes, both of Halifax. Mom was blessed with six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who gave her much joy and many smiles. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Carl; infant daughter, Judith; sister, Marian Jennings; brother, Lewis Hughes. To allow time for all family members to come home, funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at 2:00 pm with visitation preceding the service on Wednesday from 1-2 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Don MacQueen officiating. Reception following the service. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
