Passed peacefully away on July 19, 2011 in the presence of his loving family, after a short illness, at age 74. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth and parents Harvey and Winnifred. Leaving to mourn his children; Linda (Bill) Callahan, Regina Samson (Ross Maybee), Christine Samson (Ivan Jenkins), Brenda (Steve) McCormick, Reginald Jr. (Sherry) Samson, Renee Samson (Mike Whelan) and Rodney Samson; grandchildren: Stephen, Melissa, Danielle, Amanda, William, Felicia, Brandon, Bradley, Jessica, Nathan, Grace and Jack; great-grandchildren: Nathan, Silas, Abigail and Makenna; brother Harold Samson. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mt. Pearl on Thursday & Friday, July 21st and 22nd, from 2:00pm-4:00 pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral service to be held at Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, July 23rd at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow with interment at later date.
