Passed away peacefully at the John M. Gray Centre, St. Anthony, on July 16, 2011, Mr. Jacob Toope Sr. of Black Duck Cove, NL, in his 78th year. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of memories are his children Wilfred (Audrey), and Jessie (Harris); grandchildren Nina (Sheldon), Tristan, and Krista; great-grandchildren Skye, and Slayde; brother Raymond and a circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Nina, son Lorenzo, parents John and Emily Jane, brother Wilfred, sisters Rachel, and Alice, and special friend Vivian. Visitation was held at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from where the funeral service took place on Monday July 18th followed by the burial in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
