It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Leona Cross announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, September 21st at the age of 95 years. She will be sadly missed by her three sons: Clyde Jr. (Ursula), Bill (Doris), all in Stephenville, Jim (Ans) in Halifax; three daughters: Victoria (Melvin) Madore in Gallants, Betty Alley in St. David’s, Nancy (Ron) O’Keefe in Stephenville; two brothers: Michael (Marie) and Gordon Simon all in Black Duck; three sisters: Millie Anthony in Black Duck, Lucy Colson and Kathleen in Stephenville. Also leaving to mourn are a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Clyde, daughter Marie, son Frank, sister Anita, brother Victor and step brother Ossie. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 24th at 2 p.m. from Assumption Parish in Stephenville Crossing with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery on Brook Street.
