Kathleen Marie (MacAdam) MacPhee, a lifelong resident of Islands’ View, Northside East Bay. Born in Sydney, N.S., the only child of Dan Hugh MacAdam and Sarah (MacPhee) MacAdam, passed away peacefully, Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
She was a member of St. Mary’s parish, East Bay, and lifelong member of the Catholic Women’s League. She was a homemaker, who derived endless enjoyment spending time with her family and friends. She had a love for gardening and it was evident from her many beautiful flowers and shrubs that she truly had a ‘green thumb.’ She enjoyed Scottish fiddle music, cooking, baking, picking berries and making chow and preserves. One of her proudest accomplishments was getting her driver’s license at the age of 55 and driving for almost 30 years.
