Laura Pope
In loving memory of Laura Pope, who passed away nine years ago, July 31, 2002.
What would we give,
Her hand to clasp,
Her patient face to see,
To hear her voice, see her smile,
As in the days that used to be,
But some day we'll meet again,
Beyond the toil and strife,
And clasp each other's hand again,
In heaven, that happy life.
We mourn for her in silence.
No eyes can see us weep,
But many a silent tear is shed,
While others are asleep.
When evening shades are falling,
And we sit in quiet alone,
To our hearts there comes a longing.
If she only could come home.
Friends may think we have forgotten,
When at times they see us smile,
But they little know the heartache,
Our smiles hide all the while.
Some day we hope to meet again,
Some day, we know not when,
To clasp her and in the better land,
Never to part again.
Forever loved and remembered by Husband Harold, daughters Brenda and Charmaine.
