NEWELL, Cecil St. Clair, 77, Newellton, Shelburne County passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at his home. Born at Newellton on April 3, 1934, he was a son of the late Melbourne and Vivian (O’Connell) Newell. He made his living from the sea, lobster fishing for 65 years. He enjoyed sport fishing and hunting, visiting the wharf, wood carving and was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife, the former Linda Vandermark; sons, Cecil (Diane), Thelbert (Rose), both of Newellton, Harold Gilge, Penn., U.S.A.; daughter, Penny (George Kamensky), Penn.; brother, Ernest (Hazel), Newellton; sisters, Madeline Ross, Bay Side Home, Linda (Claude) Smith, Newellton; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Joel; sisters, Melba and Veronica. Funeral service was held on Thursday, July 21 from the H. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, Rev. Shaun Hatfield officiating. Burial was in the Middle Ohio Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
