WILLS, Eric - 86, of Tidal View Manor in Yarmouth, passed away in the Manor on July 16, 2011. Born June 6, 1925 in England, he was a son of the late Ira and Annie Elizabeth Wills. Eric was a member of Yarmouth Wesleyan Church. He grew up in Chegoggin, later moving to Ontario where he was a truck driver in Ontario for many years. He also lived in Shelburne and worked as a Commissionaire at the base. When Eric was younger, he loved to go golfing and bowling. He was an avid outdoorsman; loved farming, gardening and milking the cows. He is survived by daughters, Diane Wills, East Kemptville; Brenda Synder, Pembroke, Ont.; Gail (John) Coyler, Victoria, Ont.; special friend, Gail Crowell; nephew, Larry McLaren, Sarnia, Ont.; niece, Joan Benoit, London, Ont.; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by wife, Florence; sister, Mary McLaren. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Monday, July 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral service was held Tuesday, July 19 at 2 p.m., Pastor Joey Ring officiated. Interment followed in Chegoggin Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or Tidal View Manor.
