The death occurred at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, of Peter Doiron, of Summerside, aged 85 years. Born in North Rustico, he was the son of the late Adolphe and Emma (Pineau) Doiron. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Leona (Gallant) Doiron; children Diane (Carl) Brennan, Candiac, Que.; Elaine Lyon, Summerside; Frank (Linda) Doiron, Kleefeld, Man.; Judy Joly, Summerside; Kathy Driscoll, Summerside; Ron (Marie) Doiron, Winnipeg, Man.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and by brothers and sisters Eleanor Gallant, London, Ont.; Bernice (Paul) Gallant, Omer (Pearl) Doiron, Ramona (Don) Murray, Louis (Ruth) Doiron, Roy Doiron, and Eddie (Linda) Doiron, all of Charlottetown. Predeceased by brothers Edwin, Art and Aubin; and by a sister, Claire Blanchard. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Friday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside.
