The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, of Charles B. Allen of Wellington, P.E.I., at the age of 92 years. He was the son of Webster and Mattie Allen of Union Corner. He is survived by his daughters, Myrna (Claude) MacCarville, Union Corner, and Harriet (Robert) MacBurnie, Wellington, his sons, Kenneth (Doris), Masstown, N.S., Preston (Toby), Moncton, N.B. and David (Arlene), Regina Sask., his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Grace (Barlow), infant son, Dexter, brothers Glenn and Gordon and sister, Verda MacLeod. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, Sept. 24, then to Wellington United Church for funeral service at 2 p.m.. Interment to take place in Union Corner United Church Cemetery. An informal gathering will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 1:30 to 3 p.m..
