Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, of Lillian Cooper (nee Higgins), of Stratford, age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Elmer (Cap) Cooper. and loving mother of Elmer (Barb), Anita, Edward, Theresa Brown (Stan), Gary (Roma), Kevin (Elizabeth), Jackie (Erika), and Marlene Joseph (Alan). Lillian is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and sisters Anita Trainor and Phyllis Jenkins. She is predeceased by her son, Allan Cooper; parents Stewart and Susan Higgins and sister Mary MacDonald. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Friday, September 25, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Stratford, on Saturday, September 26, 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
