Veteran of Korean War

The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, July 23, 2011 of David M. Latimer of Stanhope, age 81 years. Veteran of the Korean War.
An environmental enthusiast, he was the founder and current co-chairman of the Friends of Covehead and Brackley Bays. In 2004, he was the recipient of P.E.I.'s highest environmental award for his work to enhance and protect the Brackley and Covehead watersheds.
Beloved husband of Linda. Dear father of Tom (Julie), Susan Hedges and David (Jane). Grandfather of six and great-grandfather of four great-grandchildren.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. If so desired, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. (Please note change of date and time.)
