MILL, STEFANIE BRIGITTE - Stefanie Brigitte (Quade) Mill, of Oromocto, NB, died on July 26, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 23, 1932 in Danzig-Oliwa, Germany, (now Gdansk, Poland), she was the daughter of the late Paul and Margarete (Kunig) Quade, the wife of Douglas Mill and the mother of Caroline Mill-Mercer. After meeting Douglas, while he was serving a tour of duty in Germany with the Canadian Forces, Stefanie decided to come to Canada and married Douglas in January 1963. Stefanie is survived by her husband, Douglas of Oromocto; her daughter, Caroline Mill-Mercer (Ronald) of Guelph, ON; her siblings, Werner Quade (Gabrielle) and Rudolf Quade (Marianne) both of Germany; her sisters-in-law, Joan Brown of Toronto, ON and Gayle Smith of Amherst, NS and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011 from 1 to 3 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Chapel, CFB Gagetown on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011 at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow. Interment will take place in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery.
