FLEMING, Gerald Wellington - 75, of Canning, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Winchester, Ontario, he was a son of the late James and Edna (Jennings) Fleming. He served as a radio operator with the Signal Corps in the Canadian Army and also served as a Peacekeeper. He retired as a truck driver and enjoyed going for coffee with friends. He is survived by his wife, Heather (Harvey); three sons, Randy (Karen), Ontario; Keven (Susan), Lakeville; Jeff (Shelley), Edmonton; step-son, Chris (Natasha), Kentville; sister, Patricia; 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his second wife, Helen; a daughter, Beverley; two brothers, Robert and Ernest. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There was no visitation, by request. A funeral service will be held in Prescott, Ontario at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the charity of your choice.
