Passed peacefully away with great dignity and his sense of humour to the end, of melanoma, Charlie (C.W.) Henry, P.Eng. on September 23, 2009, age 86, retired from Newfoundland Power. Predeceased by his daughter Louise, 1993 and his sister Norma Ball, 2002. Left to miss him forever are his beloved wife Ruby; daughter Anne Henry, son-in-law Robin Davis; sons Charlie and Alan and his wife Jie Xiong; grandsons Geoffrey and Peter McLean in Alberta; brother Walter in Renforth, N.B.; sisters-in-law Winnifred Newbury in Millertown, Marjorie Hannon and husband Harold in St. John’s, brother-in-law George Banfield and wife Marcie in Grand Falls-Windsor. He was a much loved uncle of his nieces and nephews. Also, many friends in St. John’s, Holyrood and Ajijic, Mexico. Missing his treats and reading the paper together are his canine girls, Abby and Rosie. Many thanks to the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit for your outstanding care and kindness during our extended stay. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd.
