LESLIE, Edward Charles – 60, Hortonville; passed away on Sunday July 24, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Edward was the son of Josephine (Best) and the late Charles “Avery” Leslie. He will be missed by family and friends. Edward loved Old Western movies and all music, especially hymns. Recently he took a special interest in learning to play the guitar. Besides Edward’s mother; he is survived by his brothers Gordon, North Alton; David (Karen), Dartmouth; James (Heather), West Brooklyn; Geofrey (Valerie), Windermere; sisters Joan (Keith) Spicer, Kentville; Ruth (Wilbert) Reese, Coldbrook; Carolyn “Connie” Holmes, Steam Mill; Nancy (Brad) Jarvis-Leslie, Victoria, BC; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father and brother in law, Harry Holmes. Visitation took place on Wednesday July 27, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. at Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville where a funeral service followed by a reception took place on Thursday July 28, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Mr. Paul Kenny officiating. Interment in the Lower Horton Cemetery. Donations in Edward’s memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
