Peacefully, surrounded by family at the Palliative Care Unit, Prince Edward Home, on Saturday, September 26, 2009, of Mr. John G. (Johnnie) LaBrech of Cornwall, age 68 years. Long-term partner of the late Florence (Fluff) Doucette and loving father of Todd LaBrech (Benita MacConnell) of Brackley and Shelly LaBrech (Ross Hornberger) of Calgary, Alberta. Johnnie is also survived by two loving granddaughters, Holly MacPhee and Rebecca LaBrech; brothers Donnie (Drenda) and Mel (Louise); his sister Cindy (David) Bruce; brothers- and sisters-in-law Bernice (Bea) (Arnold, predeceased) Ford, Noreen (John) Lee, Leonard (Simone) Baglole, Joseph (Margie) Baglole, Barb (Len) McCardle and many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until Wednesday morning, then transferred to St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cornwall, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow later in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home.
