TRENHOLM, WOODFORD ALTON - 1929-2011 - Woodford Alton Trenholm, age 81, of Moncton, passed away at a special care home on Friday, July 29, 2011. Born on August 14, 1929 in Malden, he was the son of the late Burchill and Ola (Allen) Trenholm. Alton worked as a supervisor for the CN for many years until his retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, Dollie (Allen) Trenholm; sons, Carl (Diane), of Scoudouc, Dara (Janet), of Irishtown, Douglas (Wanda), of Riverview, Roger (Susan), of Moncton, Terry (Martina), of Germany; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; as well as by his brother, Ivan. Besides his parents, Alton was predeceased by one infant son, Laurie James; sisters, Georgina, Lita, Verna and Thelma; and by one brother, Gerald.
Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home from 10 to 10:50 am followed by a memorial service in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Alton’s memory are requested to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
