Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, July 28, 2011, Albert Whalen of Caplin Cove, aged 86 years. Predeceased by wife Kathleen; his parents; four brothers and two sisters. Left with fond and loving memories his daughters Audrey Stacey (Alf), Donna Peach (Dave) and Liz Stringer (Harry); grandchildren Rob (Cheryl), Jason (Jill), and Stephanie (Victor); great grandchildren Jared, Jessica, Aaron, Logan, Kaylee, Sydney and Hyllary; sister Gertie Smith (Edgar John); brother Fred (Alma); sisters-in-law June Whalen, Rose Whalen (Eldred), Lillian Smith and Marguerite Stringer (Sim); brothers-in-law Otto King and Jack Sweetapple (Chris) and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Wesley United Church, Caplin Cove. Funeral service took place on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Wesley United Church, Caplin Cove with interment at United Cemetery, Caplin Cove. In his memory donations may be made to Wesley United Church, Caplin Cove or Children’s Playground Fund, Hodge’s Cove
