Passed peacefully away on July 28, 2011 after a short illness, Robert James Forward, age 85. Former Newfoundland Ranger, RCMP Officer and Provincial Civil Servant. Predeceased by his first wife Emma (nee Hollett) and brothers: Kenneth and Colin. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Della; sons: Kevin (Michelle), Donald (Marie), Robert (Jayna) and daughter Margo; step-children: Carolyn (Roger McGrath) and Sandy (Wayne Harris); grandchildren: Karen and Megan; Nicole, Adele and Simon; Brian, Drew and Kyle; Ryan and Courtney and Jennifer; great-grandchildren: Sophie and Mia as well as a large number of family and friends. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service at Church of the Ascension, 58 Smallwood Drive, Mount Pearl on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. No flowers by request.
