James Malo of Kamloops passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 84 years of age.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Grace Malo and
son Donald Malo.
James will be lovingly remembered by his sons Dennis (Raynieres) Malo of Maple Ridge, BC and Jim (Bridget) Malo of Duncan BC, daughters Janice (Alvin) Lukinchuk of Kamloops, Sharon (Adrian) Malo of Hope, BC and Jackie (Ken) Malo of Surrey, BC; grandchildren Jo-Anne, Scott, Heather, Grant, Tarla, Jason, Lance, Shane, Chad, Michael, James, Erin, Kevin and Tasha, seventeen great grandchildren, and his sisters Madeleine Leveque of Everett, Washington and Sister Lorraine Malo of Haiti.
Jim was a loving husband and father. He was married to his wife Grace on October 4, 1946. Shortly after they were married they moved to Vancouver, BC, where Jim and Grace owned several businesses over the years. Jim was a very hard worker and a good provider for his family. In Jim's early years he enjoyed curling, hockey, golf and billiards. He enjoyed watching all sports on TV.
At the time of Jim's passing he lived at Le Jeune Manor,
where he enjoyed many happy times with the gang, playing Wii Bowling, attending potluck dinners, Bingo or just sharing a cup of coffee with a friend.
Jim was a faithful member of St. John Vianney parish for many years. His strong faith has been a source of consolation and hope over the years.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of the Royal Inland Hospital ICU & 6 South, and to Kamloops Hospice for their care of James.
The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in St. John Vianney Parish, 2826 Bank Rd., with Reverend Wladyslaw Karciarz, Celebrant. Public Visitation will take place from 10:00 to 10:45 am at St. John Vianney Parish prior to the service.
If friends so desire, memorial donations in James'
memory may be made to the Royal Inland Hospital ICU, 311 Columbia St., Kamloops BC V2C 2T1 or to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home, 72 Whiteshield Cr., South, Kamloops BC V2E 2S9.
