It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Roberta Mae Dempsey, 90, on Saturday, July30, 2011 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 13, 1920 in Wolfville, NS, she was a daughter of the late Bertha (Price) Ashton.
Roberta enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren as well as looking after her garden.
She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter, Sandy (Roger) Gouchie, Amherst; sons, Corey (Eleanor), Leicester, Ronald (Dianne), Barry, ON, Dale (Linda), Amherst and Alan, Warren; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
Roberta was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was predeceased by her husband, Melbourne; granddaughter, Stacey; and brother, Allison.
As per her wishes a private funeral service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations in Roberta’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
