
James Morrison
The death of James Michael Morrison, 69, Amherst, NS and formerly of Etobicoke, ON occurred peacefully on Thursday, July, 28, 2011 following a courageous battle with COPD at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan.
Born on April 26, 1942 in Sydney, NS, he was a son of the late John Morrison and Elizabeth (Leblanc) Tobin. Jim was an avid Montreal Canadians fan, loved his Toronto Blue Jays and enjoyed spending time at the horse races. He was a long standing member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
Jim leaves behind to mourn his two daughters, Michelle (Glenn) Corbett, Kitchener, ON and Paula Morrison, Mississauga, ON; Wife, Barbara Morrison; Brother, Harry Tobin, Sydney, NS and two Grand children, Taylor & Colin Corbett, Kitchener, ON; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his sister Eileen (Tobin) Donavon.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request.
Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. from Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating.
Also, a service will be held in Etobicoke, ON at a later date for family and close friends.
