It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Dorey of Pinware, NL, announce his passing on Aug. 2, 2011 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories: sister-in-law Irene Dorey; niece Joanne and family; nephew Darrell and family; as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Seymoure and Arthur, and nephew Kalvin. Visitors were received at the Anglican Church in Capstain Island on Tuesday and Wednesday, from where the funeral service took place on Thursday Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Norman Cutler officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in L’Anse au Diable. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, in L’Anse au Loup.
