Lieselotte Marks
Lieselotte Marks, age 67, of Coburg, passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009.
Born in Hamburg Germany, she was a daughter of the late Johnny and Annemarie (Kramer) Meyer.
Lieselotte worked for many years as a professional translator and secretary, working for 10 years at Mount Allison University. She came to Canada, settling in Coburg with her family in 1981. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Guenther David of Coburg, her children Christian (Mariam), Northampton, Mass, Kevin (Dao), Hanoi, Vietnam, Miriam (Christopher) Abele, Milwaukee, Wis.; 5 grandchildren; a brother Jan Peter Meyer; sister Doris Witt, both of Hamburg, Germany.
She was predeceased by a sister Helga Meyer.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin (538-2241).
A memorial service will take place in the St. James United Church on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 2 pm, Rev. Dr. James Shaffner officiating. Burial will follow in the Baie Verte Cemetery.
