Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex in the loving arms of her family on August 2, 2011, Jessie Hilda Best aged 91 years. Predeceased by her son Gerald (1993). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 68 years Edward; daughters Elizabeth (Jim Beaton), Adele (Dave Wheadon); sons Phil (Loretta), George (Fern), Wally (Joyce), Clyde, Cyrel (Elaine), as well as 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Marge Best; sister-in-law Queen Best; special friend/caregiver Irene; and a large circle of other friends and family. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Health Sciences Complex. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday, Aug. 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 and on Thursday, Aug. 4th from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held from Wesley United Church on Friday, Aug. 5th at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
