WHALEN, Edith – Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, November 27, 2008, Edith Whalen of Georgetown, aged 63 years. Predeceased by her parents William and Olive Whalen. Leaving to mourn two sisters: Winnie & Robert Kennedy and Elizabeth Squires; three brothers: Jack and Rose, William and Harold, also a number of nieces and nephews. Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral to take place on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 2 p.m. from Hope United Church, Georgetown with interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Georgetown.
