TRENTON - Sharon Ann (Cosh) Perry, 62, Trenton, NS.
On September 28, 2009, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Sharon Perry passed away surrounded by her family in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.
Sharon was born on August 7, 1947 as the oldest child of (Buster) Donald and June Cosh of Trenton.
She attended schools in Trenton, and worked in various jobs during her life time such as, Clairtone, the Metropolitan store in downtown New Glasgow, Peter’s Cozy Corner and Glen Haven Manor. Sharon loved to read, garden, knit and do a variety of crafts.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Edward Perry; her two children, Todd Perry and Patricia Perry. Sharon was affectionately known as “Nan†by her three grandchildren: Mark Cameron, Jessie Cameron and Corey Perry. Sharon is also survived by brothers: Donald (Jenny) Cosh; Dan (Sandra) Cosh, David (Peggy) Cosh, Wade (Sylvia) Cosh, Robert (Isabel) Cosh, Timothy Cosh, Chris (Amanda) Cosh; sisters: Colleen MacNeil, Juanita (Glen) Hughes, Cathy (Jim) MacMillan, Shelley (Blaise) Hartling, Kimberly (Mike Anderson) Cosh; Aunt Lois (Irving) Kitson; brothers-in-law: William Perry, Fred (Evelyn) Perry, Philip “Buck†(Diane) Perry, Emerson (Mary) Perry, Gary Perry; sisters-in-law, Delma Perry, Shirley Myers; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Sharon was predeceased by her infant son, Gary Errol; parents, Don and June (Feltmate) Cosh; parents-in-law, James and Jessie (Betts) Perry; brother, Parker Cosh; brother-in-law, Gary MacNeil.
She was also predeceased by many of her Perry family members. Sharon will be remembered for her amazing strength and courage and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will forever be loved and missed.
The family will be receiving visitors at the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton, on Wednesday, September 30 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, October 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held at the Trenton Church of the Nazarene on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Leon Teal officiating. A grave side interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery.
