DULONG, Florence M. (Bourque) – June 9, 1925 - June 9, 2011. She was an artisan and a homemaker. Daughter of the late Arthur and Angèle (Morris) Bourque; born in Quinan, N.S., and brought up in Belleville, N.S., she moved to the USA in 1943. Wife of the late George Dulong; mother of George and his wife Lorraine of Brooksville, Florida and Rochester, NH; Paul and his life partner Doris Kullman of North Chelmsford, MA; Ken and his wife Paula of Billerica, MA, and Jeanine and her husband Stephen Byrne of Berwick, ME. Grandmother of Scott, Dana, Nicole and Bryan and great-grandmother of Dillon, Jake and Brooke, all of Lowell. Loving and faithful companion for 20 years of Richard Horgan of Everette. Sister of Pauline Bourque, and her husband Roland of Tusket, N.S., and Paul and his wife Noreen of Belfast, PEI and the late Aggie, Theresa, Esther, Louie, Lawrence and Edmond Bourque. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Florence was an accomplished artisan in petit point (former member of Malden Guild of artists; won award at 1997 exhibit at Malden Public Library), as well as needlepoint, crocheting and knitting. She loved to dance to the Country Masters at the Waltham French Club with her best friend Dick. She travelled across Canada with her dear friend Grace in 1988. She was an active member of Sacred Hearts Parish, Malden; former member of the Damien Guild and made dozens of baptismal albs for church baptisms. She was beloved by all who knew her and she’ll be greatly missed. Funeral mass was held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 10 a.m. from Sacred Hearts Parish, Malden, Mass. Memorial service to be held at a later date at Ste. Anne du Ruisseau, N.S.
