Evangeline was a graduate of the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, Class of 1953, with her diploma of registered nursing. Following graduation, she worked for many years at local area hospitals in the capacity of surgical nurse, lab technology and private duty nursing. For over 25 years, Evangeline was an avid skater. She skated on a weekly basis at the local arenas, deriving great satisfaction from her sport and valuing the many friends she made through her skating activities. Evangeline often remarked that, if she had taken another life path, she would have pursued a career in professional skating. Another great passion she indulged was interior decorating. Evangeline possessed eloquent taste in this area. She was a woman of class and immense generosity and spirit. Evangeline loved her grandchildren dearly and without bounds. If angels do exist, she was mine. Evangeline was the best of us and we are the richer for her presence. She will be forever missed.
