BROWN, Jacob – Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, Jacob Brown, age 97 years of Trinity, Bonavista Bay. Predeceased by his wife Stella Mary Brown (nee Gibbons); grandson Alan Brown; son-in-law Henry Brown; parents Sitnah and Lucy Brown. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons: Absalom (Olive) of Trinity, Stanley (Trixie) of Trinity, Gerald (Selina) of Trinity, Boyd (Eleanor) of Gander, Edward (Shirley) of St. John’s; daughters: Emily Parsons (Caleb) of Centreville, Marina Beanlands (Kenneth) of St. John’s, Pauline Brown of Trinity, Yvonne Rideout (Fred) of Trinity; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. S. O’Connor officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Trinity.
